HANOVER, Pa. — Patricia J. “Patti” Burns, 62, of Hanover, Pa., entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at her residence.

Born November 24, 1950 in Bluefield, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William R. and Lucille B. (Harrison) Lovell Sr. She was the wife of Stephen A. Burns with whom she shared 17 years of marriage.

Patti was a private duty caregiver and was previously employed at two nursing homes. She was a den mother of Cub Scout Pack #103 in the 1970s as well as being a life member of the Midway Volunteer Fire Company.

She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and was affectionately known as MomMom. Children were so special and important to Patti. She had a great outlook on life and would often say “Just for the love of a child.” Her love touched many lives and in turn, she was loved by so many. She will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her husband, Patti is survived by her two sons, Robert E. Warner and his wife Brenda of New Oxford, Wayne Warner and his wife Regina of Abbottstown; her two daughters, Sheila Burns of Hanover, Vickie Caraballo and her husband Edwin of Hanover; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; twelve nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; her two brothers, Bill Lovell of Falls Mills, Va., Howard Lovell of Bluefield, Va.; her two sisters, Linda Little and her husband Richard Little Sr. of Hanover and Janet Vance and her husband Ray of Bluefield, Va.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Starling and her sister, Susie Fox.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Patti's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, with her pastor, the Rev. Paul Cole officiating.  A time to view and share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the funeral home and from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's United Church of Christ, New Oxford, Pa.
