SUGAR GROVE, Va. —
Dennis Harold Roberts, age 74, passed away on Monday January 7, 2013 at his home after an extended illness.
He was born in Capels, W.Va. to loving parents, Joseph F. “Joe” and Leona C. “Toni” Roberts.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carole and daughter Tracy; two grandchildren, Christopher and Elisabeth. Also surviving are siblings, Shirley Scott, Portsmouth Ohio, William F. Roberts (Brenda), Gratton, Va., Sue Miller, Blaine, Wash., Sherri Lyon (Dickie), Sugar Grove, Va. and brothers-in-law, George Scott (Myrtle), Pocahontas, Va., Robert Klenk, Bridgeton, N.J., Reginald R. Scott (Alice), Bridgeton, N.J.; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and started the chain of CJ’s Pizza Shops in Wytheville, Va. in 1982. He enjoyed meeting people and valued their friendship so at his request there will be no public service, choosing instead to be remembered as he was in life.
His remains will be cremated and buried by his family at a later date.
