Margie Ruth Pugalee, 83, of Matoaka, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at her home. Born October 16, 1929 in Lamar, she was the daughter of the late Ollie (Pete) O'Dell and Nannie Roberts O'Dell.
She was a homemaker and a member of Ridgeview Church of God at Lashmeet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Pugalee in 2010; one son, Jackie Pugalee; one infant daughter, Connie; four brothers, Dean, Buck, Lundy and Paul O' Dell; one sister, Louise Waldron; one son-in-law, Ernie Howerton and one daughter-in-law, Linda Pugalee.
Survivors include four sons, Louis (Ricky) Pugalee and wife Brenda of Garwood, Jerry Pugalee and wife Cheral of Lashmeet, David Pugalee of Charlotte, N.C., and Chucky Eugene Pugalee and friend A. J. Sommers of Matoaka; three daughters, Nancy Howerton of Matoaka, Pat Harmon of Charlotte, N.C., and Darlene Hillman and husband Curtis of Dothan, Ala.; two sisters, Faye Spicer and husband Charles of Rocky Mount, Va. and Marie Odle of Matoaka; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. L. A. Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at O'Dell Cemetery on Odle Ridge, Matoaka. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Wednesday, April 10 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
