DOVER, Del. — Earl Dean Lilly of Dover, Delaware went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Kent General Hospital in Dover. He was 79 years old.

Mr. Lilly was born September 18, 1934 in Beckley, WV to the late Joseph and Armintia Day Lilly. He received his education in West Virginia as well as courses in the military. He served 4 years in the United States Navy.  He worked in the concrete/construction field for 60 years. Mr. Lilly enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and traveling to West Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Lilly and 3 stepsisters.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara E. Lilly; his sons, E. Dean Lilly, Jr., Mark D. Lilly and his wife Cindy, and Brian D. Lilly and his wife Cara; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, 6 sisters and 2 stepsisters.

A private funeral service will be held in West Virginia. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Central Mennonite Church, 220 West Denneys Rd., Dover, DE  19904.
