Geraldine A. Brown, 93, of Princeton died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Rockin Chair Residential Care in Lerona. Born February 5, 1921 in Elgood, WV she was the daughter of the late Giles White and Leafy Holdren White.
She was a graduate of Bluefield Business College and ran a small store for several years. Geraldine was also a homemaker and a member of the Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Hale Brown; four brothers, Eddie Joe White, James White, Lewis White, and Giles White, Jr.; and one sister, Dorothy Wickline.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Young and husband Ronald of Gambrills, MD and Linda Creaturo and husband Johnny of LaPlata, MD; four grandchildren, Toni Wood and husband Bob, Kelly Saieed and husband Matt, Rick Adams, and Mark Young and wife Jennifer; ten great grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances Varner of Princeton and Marian Dunbar of Rich Creek, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Ray Stonestreet officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Grandsons and men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Saturday.
