HURLEY, Va. —
Laura “Wee Wee” Vance, age 66, of Hurley, Virginia passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at her home.
Born March 19, 1947 in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of Verner Lester of Hurley, Virginia and the late Vagle Sparks Lester. She was a Registered Nurse employed by Total Home Care and Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vagle Lester, August 2012.
Survivors: In addition to her father, Verner, include two sons, Clifford “Chip” Vance and wife Susan of Castlewood, Virginia, David Richard Vance and wife Becky of Hurley, Virginia; two grandsons, David, II and Jacob Vance; two granddaughters, Allison Moore and Tiffany Vance; two great-granddaughters, Krystal Moore and Annalana Moore; three brothers, Roger Lester and wife Ann of Wolford, Virginia, Randall Lester of Oakwood, Virginia, Jeffrey Lester of Hurley, Virginia; three sisters, Lavon Jones and husband Charles of Limestone, Tennessee, Carol Allen and husband Wilson of Hurley, Virginia, Phyllis Lester of Hurley, Virginia.
Funeral services for Laura “Wee Wee” Vance will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 11 AM at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel at Grundy, Virginia with Jack Horn and Eugene Whited officiating with burial to follow in the Charlie Davis Cemetery on Main Knox at Hurley, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Virginia Funeral Home with a service being held at 7 PM.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of arrangements.
