PRINCETON — Kenny Wayne “Spud” McGlothlin, 55, of 121 Phelps Street in Princeton, died Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born December 4, 1957 in Bluefield he was the son of the late Jack McGlothlin and Wanda Buchannon Catron.

Kenny was a former supervisor in the Greenskeeping Department at Fincastle Country Club in Bluefield, VA. He loved the outdoors and sitting in his rocking chair.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jim “Jimbo” Catron; two sisters, Sharon “Twinkle” McGlothlin and Diana Ritchie; father-in-law, Joe Bowling; and one niece, Kerri Hager.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Bowling McGlothlin of Princeton; two daughters, Heather Stevens and husband Timothy of Charlotte, NC and Kayla McGlothlin and companion Trevor Blankenship of Princeton; five grandchildren, Jasmine Stevens, Jeremiah Stevens, Joshua Stevens, Jordan Stevens, and Wyatt McGlothlin; four brothers, David McGlothlin of Princeton, Robert McGlothlin and companion Stacy of Bluewell, Mark McGlothlin and wife Chasidy of Concord, NC, and Joe Catron of West Virginia; four sisters, Martha Thornhill and husband Steve of Bluefield, VA, Debbie Fisher and husband Dale of Bluefield, WV, Wanda Woods and husband Gary of Martinsville, VA, and Karen Taylor and husband David of Spanishburg; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Bowling of Glenwood and Scott Bowling of Princeton; one sister-in-law, Susan Ralosky and husband John of Princeton; mother-in-law, Mary Cook and husband Ron of Princeton; and stepfather, John Catron of Bluefield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. McKinley Price officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Wednesday.
