SALISBURY, N.C —
Josephine Kowalski Radnoczi, age 91, of 4825 U.S. Highway 601, Salisbury, North Carolina, formerly of Thorpe, W.Va., passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury, N.C. Born July 22, 1921, in McDowell County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Cramer Kowalski.
She was a resident of Salisbury the past 40 years, formerly of Thorpe. She was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church in Salisbury, N.C.
She is preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, her first husband, Joseph L. Molnar, who was killed during World War II; her second husband, Julius John "Round Head" Radnoczi; one son, Julius John Radnoczi; two brothers, Eddie and Stanley Kowalski; one grandson, Joey Molnar; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Bryson; and one great-grandson, Brandon Manning.
Josie is survived by two daughters, Betty Jo Bryson of Salisbury, N.C., Judy Carolyn Chapman and husband Bill of Thorpe; one son, Joseph Molnar and wife Donna of Palm Bay, Fla.; she was blessed with five grandsons; five granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 8, 2013 at 1 p.m. from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with the Reverend Dallas Peyton, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, W.Va.
Friends may call Monday, April 8, 2013 at the funeral home, from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
