BLUEFIELD — Adrian “Archie” Lewis Gibson

BLUEFIELD — Adrian “Archie” Lewis Gibson, 59, of Rogers Street, Bluefield, W.Va., went home to his heavenly father, Sunday March 31, 2013, at Charleston Area Medical Center, following a short illness.

He was born in Bluefield, on Aug. 20, 1953, son of the late Jacob and Jessie Gibson. Archie attended Genoa and Beaver High Schools. He worked 20 years at a factory In New York and was a carpenter in Bluefield. He attended First A.M.E. Zion Church.

Those left to cherish his memories, one daughter; seven sisters, Minister Patrice (Jerome) Prunty, of Bluefield, W.Va., Deborah (Gary) Ridley, of  Bluefield, W.Va., Linda Vilar, of Bronx, N.Y., Gloria (Jackson) Carey, of Hickory, N.C., Lacy Ellsion, of Winston-Salem, N.C., Selena (Arnold) Long, of Gary, W.Va., Valarie Gibson (Teddy Martin) of Charleston, W.Va.; two brothers Lynn Gibson, of Bluefield, W.Va., and Jerome (Lucille) Gibson of Tazewell, Va.; and a  host of nieces, nephews aunts, uncles and cousins. A special friend Geraldine Washington of Bluefield, W.Va.

Services will be held Saturday April 6, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Faith Center Church, Federal Street, Bluefield, W.Va., with  Pastor Tyrone Murray officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service.

Cravens-Shires funeral home served the Gibson family.
