LOWGAP, N.C. —
Ms. Karren Sue Repass Baker, age 64, of Lowgap, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Northern Hospital of Surry County.
She was born June 5, 1948 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Robert Sidney Ashworth Repass and Freida May Tipton Repass. Mrs. Baker was a retired nurses aide. She was a member of Genesis Full Gospel Church and a strong supporter of Cannan Land Children's Home.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Michael Kime of Wytheville, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Monica Honaker of Mohawk, N.Y.; grandchildren, Landon Kime, Gavin Kime, Alex Brough and Amber Brough and brother and sister-in-law, Ronald E. Repass and Bedalia Valdes Repass of Panama.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her loving stepmother, Myrtle Repass.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 6:15 p.m. at Genesis Full Gospel Church, 433 Sparger Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030 conducted by Pastor Thomas Slate. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 5:30 p.m. until time of service.
Flowers will be accepted (deliver to church on Tuesday at 5 p.m.) or memorials may be made to Cannan Land Children's Home, P.O. Box 186, Toast, NC 27049.
