James Glen Booth, age 93, of Peterstown, W.Va., passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 peacefully at the Springfield Center, Lindside, W.Va. surrounded by his family and friends. Born October 14, 1919 at Peterstown, W.Va., he was the son of the late Joel Price and Nannie Sink Booth.
Glen was retired from the Celanese Corp. as a Pipefitter. He was a member of the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, a 50-year member of the John Dove Lodge #78 A.F. & A.M. and the WV State Gospel Music Association, where he had served on the Board of Directors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juanita Smith Booth; three sisters, Elizabeth Sowers, Virginia Boone and Opal Wray and five brothers, Howard, Carlton, Hobert, Price and Eugene Booth.
Survivors include his daughter, Wanda B. Evans of Peterstown, W.Va.; one grandson, James Michael Evans and wife Crystal of Narrows, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Ceilia and Isaac Evans; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Booth of Peterstown, W.Va. and Bonnie Booth of Troy, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Orchard Cemetery, Ballard, W.Va.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.
