ROCK HILL, S.C. —
She was born in Princeton, West Va, on April 10, 1941 and was a graduate of Princeton High School. Marsha graduated from Winthrop College with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and taught in the Rock Hill School District III for 29 years.
Marsha was the daughter of the late Ellis Herbert Bowling and Eileen Smith Bowling. She was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Thomas Moon and a brother, Samuel Mason Bowling.
Survivors include her husband Donald B .Hunt; her sons, Todd Moon (Becky), Tyler Moon (Melanie); and her daughter, Mellen Shugart (Darryl); two step-daughters (Susan Rudisill and Meg Hunt); her brother, Tim Bowling (Beth); sister-in-laws, Martha Munn and Janie Bowling; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
Marsha became a servant of her Lord at an early age and has been a member of First Baptist Church, Rock Hill for more than 40 years. Marsha was very active in her church and community where she led and taught by example. She was involved with Christmasville, Come See Me, and taught Environmental Education for the City of Rock Hill. Marsha was also a promoter and organizer for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritans Purse. Marsha loved first and foremost her Lord and Savior. She adored her husband, family, her grandchildren, and anything she could create and sew. Marsha's faith was a work in action and she has influenced countless lives for His Kingdom.
A Celebration of Life and Faith will be held at 11:00 AM on January 4th, 2014 at First Baptist Church Rock Hill, SC 29730.
