RICHLANDS, Va. — Ethel Faye Eiklor Ratliff, 82, of Richlands, VA passed away to her Heavenly Home on Friday, December 20, 2013 at home, surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Stonega, VA, Wise County, on January 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cotella Vanover Eiklor. She was a member of the Richlands Tabernacle for 43 years. She was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She dedicated her life to her Lord and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Lawrence Ratliff. Also brothers, Earl Eiklor, Norman Eiklor, Roy Eiklor, and sister, Kathy Eiklor Mabe.

Survivors are: One daughter, Carolyn Ratliff Horton and husband Phillip of Richlands, VA. Sons: Bobby Ratliff and wife Linda of Bedford, VA, Larry Ratliff and wife Debbie of Cedar Bluff, VA. Grandchildren: Dr. B. Kevin Ratliff and wife Josie of Verona, VA, John Ratliff and wife Kymberly of Abingdon, VA, Mandie Ratliff Turner and husband David of Rustburg, VA, Joshua Ratliff and wife Valerie of Ft. Wayne, IN, William Seth Ratliff of Cedar Bluff, VA, Daniel Isaac Ratliff of Cedar Bluff, VA. Great-grandchildren: Abigail Ratliff, Will Ratliff, Laeth Ratliff, Savana Ratliff, Aubrie Turner, Macie Ratliff and Sadie Ratliff. One sister: Virginia “Corrine” Hess of Doran, Virginia. Sisters-in-law: Peggy Alsbrook and husband Kenneth of Richlands, VA, Joann Street of Cedar Bluff, VA, Shirley Hampton and husband Hubert of Cedar Bluff, VA, Ida Ruth Keene of Archdale, NC, Karin Eiklor of Chicago, IL. Brothers-in-law: Raymond Ratliff of Wytheville, VA and Michael Mabe of Lexington, NC. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Ethel Faye Eiklor Ratliff will be conducted Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richlands Tabernacle in Richlands, VA with the Rev. Phillip Horton, Rev. Bob Osborne, and Rev. Joshua Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Gary Hess, Larry Dye, Kenneth Alsbrook, Lewis Peak, Junior Russ, Eric Shortt, Gerald Shortt, and Ricky Ratliff. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Richlands Tabernacle and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.
