William Vance Dunford IV, age 47, of Bluefield, W.Va. died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va.
Born May 20, 1966 in Bluefield, W.Va., he was a son of the late Charles Bowen Dunford III and Mary Alice Cole Dunford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adopted father, George Dailey. He was owner and operator of 3 Dogs, Tobacco & More in War, W.Va. and was a true salesman in every sense of the word. He was always full of life, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and always wanted to make people laugh and smile.
Survivors include his adopted mother, Pearl Marie Dailey (Gonnie) Fox of Springville, Va.; fiancé, Trebia Clark with whom he made his home; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Dunford of Bluefield, Va.; one son, William Alexander Dunford and his fiancé, Sabrina Asbury of Whitmore Lake, Mich.; one sister, Diane Dunford and husband, Eddie of Martinsville, Va.; two brothers, David Dunford and his wife, Trinh of Washington, D.C. and Charley Bowen Dunford IV and wife, Cindy of Bluefield, W.Va.; former wife, Dorothea Dunford of Bluefield, Va.; nieces and nephews, Golena Ashley and Bowen Dunford and Jerry Moore Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
