SPRING CITY, Tenn. —
Born May 24, 1943 in Mercer County he was the son of the late James M. “Buster” Hubbard and Anna Ruth Rogers Hubbard. Gordon was a retired mechanic for the former Overnite Transport and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty June Farley.
Survivors include his wife, Agatha “Gaye” Davis Hubbard of Spring City, Tenn.; two sons, Cary Gordon Hubbard and wife Debbie of Lerona and Charles K. Day of Spring City, Tenn.; one daughter, Tammy Koger and husband John of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren; and four sisters, Lillian Marie Stanly of Morgantown, W.Va., Joyce A. Walker and husband Van and Freda Gay Brakefield all of Princeton, and Carol Larue and husband Randy of Athens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Roger Lusk and Pastor Dallas Peyton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Athens Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
