Edward E. Fowler, Jr., 88, of Princeton, WV, died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Glenwood Park Nursing Home.
He was the youngest son of the late Edward E. and Bertie Newman Fowler.
Mr. Fowler was a former member of the First Church of God on Airport Road and was a former employee of the Coca Cola Bottling Company when it was located on Bluefield Avenue. He loved the Lord and loved to talk and joke with people he knew. He loved going to all of the flea markets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Knox Fowler; three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include two sisters, Dora Fowler Hager of Knoxville, TN and Imogene Fowler Carbaugh and husband Jim of Ballwin, MO; one brother, Kermit Fowler and wife Billie of Athens, WV; several nieces and nephews; and the special person in his life, Phyllis Wheelock of Princeton, WV.
The family will receive friends at Mercer Funeral Home in Bluefield on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley.
