Mildred Lucille Allen —
Born April 29, 1958 in Bluefield she was the daughter of the late Gladys Sims Major. She attended Dunbar Elementary School in Princeton. Mildred was a former cook at Princeton Junior High School and a former daycare provider.
In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sidney Allen; one sister, Victoria Major; grandmother, Minnie Sims; and one niece, Neona Major.
Survivors include one daughter, Annis Maria Allen of Princeton; one son, Charles Sidney Allen, Jr. and wife Shannon of Princeton; five grandchildren, Tevin Allen, Devin Allen, Jaquan Allen, Ebony Allen, and Sidney Ray Allen; two great-granddaughters, Nia Taylor and Rayah Allen; one sister, Gloria Pannell of Bluefield; one brother, Dennis Major of Princeton; and a special nephew that she raised, Alphonso Washington, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2013 (today) at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Gregory Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Friday.
