CRUMPLER — Lawrence "L.T." Sizemore Jr., age 84, of Crumpler, W.Va., departed this world for his Heavenly Home on Friday morning, June 14, 2013, surrounded by his five daughters in Nokesville, Va.

Born June 3, 1929 in Browns Creek, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lawrence Sizemore Sr. and Amanda Green Sizemore. He was a member of the Harbor Light Baptist Church, Princeton, W.Va. He was a life long member of the UMWA Local 6033 of Crumpler, W.Va. He was a resident of McDowell County all his life and enjoyed being out and talking with his many friends. L.T. was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three loving wives, June Sizemore-mother of his daughters, Liz Sizemore and Maxine Sizemore; his daughter, Barbara Ann; and four siblings, Sadie, Mae, Jimmy, and Willard.

He leaves to cherish his memory: His loving and devoted five daughters, Linda Heard of Bealeton, Va., Sue Carroll and her husband Harry of Nokesville, Va., Brenda Howard and her husband Wade of Atlanta, Ga., Carolyn Nelson and her husband Budd of Warrenton, Va., Shelby Wilkinson and her fiancé William Savin of Bristow, Va., also his 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, W.Va. with the Rev. Robert Lane and the Rev. Joel Lane officiating. Entombment will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Bluewell, W.Va.

The family will receive friends on Monday night at the Widener Funeral Home, Northfork, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harbor Light Baptist Church, Princeton, W.Va. in memory of L.T.
