BOISSEVAIN, Va. —
Ruby Louise Collins, 90, of Boissevain, VA passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at her daughter's home in Pocahontas, VA. Born in Maybeury, WV she was the daughter of the late Dewey Farrington and Virginia Stewart Farrington. She retired from Grubb Photo in Bluefield, WV, where she had worked for 40 years as manager.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Frank Collins, Jr.; sister June Asbury; sisters-in-law Fern Gibson and Jean Simmons; brothers-in-law, Harry Asbury, Jim Simmons, Luther Collins, Allen Collins and her beloved caretaker Cindy Byrd.
Survivors include one daughter Debbie Williams and husband Butch of Pocahontas, VA; one son, Russell Collins of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Russell Collins, Jr. and wife Lorna of Anchorage, Alaska, David Collins and wife Rachael of West Palm Beach, Florida, Robin Davis and husband Jimmy of Pocahontas, VA and Eric Williams and wife Michelle of Bluefield, WV; great grandchildren include Steven Davis and wife Jessee of Tannersville, VA, Jamie Davis of Pocahontas, VA , Dale Collins of Anchorage, Alaska and Dillon Williams of Bluefield, WV; one great great granddaughter, Lilly Davis of Tannersville, VA; two brothers-in-law Charles Collins and wife Von of Pocahontas, VA and Joe Gibson of Pocahontas, VA; sister-in-law Louise Collins of Christiansburg, VA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, VA with the Rev. Reginald Blakewood officiating. Interment will follow at the Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Bluefield, VA. Friends may call Tuesday, February 11, 2014 one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
