Cecil Edward “Eddie” Brown, II, 47, of Lashmeet died Thursday, February 6, 2014. Born June 5, 1966 in Charleston, he was the son of Mary Johnston Brown Hill and the late Cecil Edward Brown.
Eddie was a roofer and of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed playing his guitar, playing with his grandchildren and being called Poppy.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lewis Brown in 2004 and his stepfather, Richard Hill.
Survivors in addition to his mother include one daughter, Heather Brown and Shawn Grogan of Lashmeet; two sisters, Zina Terry of Lashmeet and Tammy Jenkins and Robert of Spanishburg; two brothers, Richard Hill, Jr. of Statesville, NC and Greg Hill and Tina of Lashmeet; two grandchildren, Avannah Grogan and Eli Grogan, both of the home; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, many friends and his best K-9 friend, “Peady.”
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Connie Lester officiating. Honoring his wishes, the body will be cremated following the service.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour on Monday, February 10.
