MELBOURNE, Fla. —
Edward Gail Clark, 73, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 23, 2013. A native of Princeton, W.Va., Ed moved to Melbourne, Fla. in 1964 with his wife, Mona.
Ed graduated from Princeton High School and joined the U.S. Navy where he served four years aboard the U.S.S. Massey. After returning home from the Navy, he was hired at North American Rockwell Co. Ed then worked for Southern Bell for over 31 years. Ed loved touring the country in his RV, work camping and enjoying the company of many friends since retiring in 1996. He also loved fishing and taking on “projects” with his son, Eric. Ed was an active member of the Suntree United Methodist Church and served as President of the National United Methodist Campers.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Beatrice Clark. He is survived by his wife Mona Craghead Clark; son Eric (Sandra); daughter, Kathy (Barry) Jennings; grandson, Travis Jennings (Stacy); granddaughters Paige and Amanda Clark; granddaughter, Allison (Warren Hershberger); great-granddaughter, Hope Clark; sister, Barbara (Bert) Bush and their family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Missions Committee at Suntree United Methodist Church, Inc., 7400 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32940; Multiple Myeloma Foundation or the American Heart Association.
A celebration of the life of Edward Gail Clark will be held Monday, July 1, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton, W.Va. with the Rev. David Damewood officiating.
The Clark family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road, Princeton.
