Terry E. Kanode Sr.

PRINCETON — Terry E. Kanode, Sr., 58, of Lovell Avenue, Princeton, departed this life Friday, June 13, 2014 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born October 19, 1955 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Hobart Kanode and Eileen Pettrey Kanode.

Terry was educated in Mercer County and lived here his whole life. While his health permitted, he was employed by Andy Clark Ford of Princeton in the Body Shop for 21 years.

Terry loved his family; he enjoyed his trips to Pigeon Forge and to the Beach where he enjoyed acting like a kid. Regardless of where Terry might be, his favorite food, eating apply pie and being with his family.

In addition to his family, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Jim, Bob Sonny and an infant sister, Linda. And his long time, 4 legged companion Mooney.

Left to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Nancy Jo Davis Kanode, two children, Terry E. Kanode Jr. and wife Tina, and Debbie Kanode all of Princeton. Grandchildren Isabella, Abigail, Ryan and Jason. Siblings Patricia Greggs of Baltimore, MD, Nancy Jackson and husband Bill of Princeton. And a 4 legged friend, Crystal.

On Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 11:00 AM, we will celebrate the life of Terry Kanode from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Dr. Daniel Farley speaking. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
