Lexie Marie Looney, 86, of the Beckley Road, Princeton died peacefully Wednesday evening, June 4, 2014 at her home.
Born March 31, 1928 at Splashdam, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James C. Fuller and Fronie Counts Fuller.
Lexie was a devoted homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved and enjoyed watching Dr. Charles Stanley anytime he was on television.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Hubert C. Looney, along with all of her siblings: Rosa, Nell, Ola, Rowena and James.
Survivors include her son, Rickie Somyk and his companion Monica Lane of Princeton. Grandchildren, Jeremy Looney and wife Alexandra of Princeton, Chasity Higginbothem and husband Jason of Oak Hill. A host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Larry Dyer officiating. Those wishing to attend the services are requested to meet at the Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton by 12:45 PM.
