PAINTLICK, Va. —
Christopher (Chris) Michael Tolbert, age 36, of Paintlick, Va., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012. Born Jan. 8, 1976 in Birmingham, Ala., he was the son of Michael and Belinda Tolbert of Hansonville, Va.
He was employed with Alpha Highwall Mining.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph and Marie Ware and Lloyd and Carlene Tolbert.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tolbert; two sons, Jaxon Tolbert of Iaeger, W.Va. and Ashton Tolbert of the home; two stepchildren, Neil Kiser and Chasidy Kiser all of the home; one sister, Kimberly Arnold of Hansonville, Va.; a cousin like a sister, Christina Briones of Corner, Ala.; special father-in-law, Johnny Lester; special friends, Jason Tolbert, Joey Daniels, Jay Carver, Angelia Odom and Timothy Cork; and all the special friends and co-workers at Alpha Mining who were like a close family to Chris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Va. Burial will follow in the Ketron Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon, Va. Pallbearers will be David Anderson, Justin Adkins, Jimmy Whitlock, Jason Tolbert, Joey Daniels, Jay Carver, Timothy Cork and James Tinser.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Va.
