Juanita Lockhart

CEDAR BLUFF, Va. — Juanita Lockhart, age 91, of the Bandy section of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, Virginia.

She was born in Yukon, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late William H. and Rhoda Vandyke Tabor. She was a former employee of General Instrument Company in Tazewell, Virginia and attended Lake Park Freewill Baptist Church in Richlands, Virginia. She was a lifelong resident of the Bandy area. Juanita spent her life taking care of other people and was well known for her constant smile and distinctive laugh. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Juanita was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lockhart; two daughters, Marilyn Sue Lockhart and Patricia Ann Lockhart; stepmother, Grace Henkle Tabor; one sister, Georgia Madelle Tabor; four brothers, Edward Tabor, Jessee Tabor, Troy Tabor and R.C. Spence.

She is survived by: Three daughters: Mrs. Louella Mitchell and husband, Ken of Bandy, Virginia, Mrs. Charlene Cole and husband, David of Roanoke, Virginia, Mrs. Sandy Faulconer and husband, Greg of Sevierville, Tennessee.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

Funeral services for Juanita Lockhart will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Lawrence Hayes and the Rev. Johnny Cochran officiating. Entombment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Barbetto, Billy Barbetto, T.C. Faulconer, Sam Cole, Cameron Barbetto, Zachary Barbetto, Noah Fields, and Joe Fields. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Carl Boone and James Austin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
