Lilly Mae Wickline

Born April 8, 1937 at Lindside, she was the daughter of the late Luke Hampton Thornton and Lula Vienna Harvey Thornton.

Lilly was a graduate of Greenville High School. She was the owner/operator of Belinda's Flowers in Princeton. Lilly was a member of Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton.

During her life, Lilly enjoyed traveling the country with her late husband and will be remembered as an avid golfer.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Alfred Landon “Al” Wickline, along with three siblings; Calvin Thornton, Lennie Roles and Susan Thornton.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Belinda and Ed Pendleton of Columbus IN, and Bonita and Mike Belcher of Princeton.

The smile that she wore was due to the love she had for her grandchildren and great-grandchild, Michelle Gilbert and husband Clark, Jamie Taylor and fiancé Norman Vaughan and her great-grandchild, Jacelyn Taylor. Additional survivors include her two sisters; Josephine Chapman, Geraldine Vass and husband Jack, all of Covington VA, A host of nieces and nephews. Lilly was blessed to have two very special neighbors, Nick and Dreama Comerose.

A cryptside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 11, 2014 in the Chapel of the Wildwood Mausoleum, Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Scott Sears officiating.

A brief visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 until 10:45 AM at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton.

Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home no later than 10:45 AM.
