PRINCETON — Iris E. Kahle, 82, of North Wickham Avenue, Princeton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, January 17, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Born May 28, 1931 in Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Ray Ellis and Pearl Dillman Ellis.

Mrs. Kahle was educated in Mercer County and a member of the Upper Room Church. She was a former employee for the Maidenform Corporation and retired from Glenwood Methodist Retirement Village. Mrs. Kahle loved to sew and crochet along with being a mentor for many children who need assistance.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kahle along with a grandson Eric.

Survivors include her three children, Judy and Marvin Steele of Bluefield, Michael Kahle of Chester, VA, Terresa and Alan McFarland of Princeton. Grandchildren, Melissa, Joseph, Tabitha, Jesse, Angie, Ben, Marina and James Davis. Great-grandchildren, Cheyene, Madison, Noah, Brian, Ericka, Carsyn, Mikale, Nicholas and Dregan. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 20, 2014 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Eddie Pettrey officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Monday from noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
