BLUEFIELD — Ms. Crystal L. Woods age 38, of Bluefield, WV; formerly of Maybeury and Northfork WV, departed this life on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield.

She was born August 17, 1975 in Symth County, VA and the daughter of Judy Woods of Marion, VA and the late Nathan Howard.  Crystal was a graduate of Marion Senior High School and of the Baptist faith.  She successfully completed classes at Francis-Marion Nursing Home and the McDowell County Career Technical Center, where she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomist. Until closing, she was the Office Manager at the Maybeury Clinic.       

In addition to her father, Nathan, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

Crystal will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Judy and her three children:  DeVonte’ Woods of Northfork, Treyvon Woods of Maybeury and A’Shanti Buford of Marion; her grandmother, Marie Blevins also of Marion; two grandchildren, Jayceon Frye and Da’Marion Hayes; three brothers: Nathan Woods of Marion, Rashaun Cannady and Nicholas Cannady both of Bluefield; an aunt and uncle who helped raise her, Lafern and Dana Starkey of Northfork; four additional aunts:  Melissa Woods and Rhonda Blockston both of Marion, Rinda and husband, James McCrinnon of Columbus, OH and Gail Woods of Princeton, WV; one nephew, Kobe Woods and a special cousin, Tamika and husband, Kevin Ware of Northfork and a host of other cousins and friends.

Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Mt. Ebenezer Baptist Church in Algoma, WV with the Reverends: James Green, Timothy Hairston and Harold Calloway officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest lawn Memorial Gardens on Route 20, Littlesburg Road in Bluewell, WV.

Family and friends will serve as both pall bearers and flower bearers.

Visitation will begin at 11:a.m., on Saturday, until time of Service at the Church.
