Danny Thomas Stilwell died peacefully in his mother's arms at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013 at his home on Brush Creek Falls Road, Speedway.
He was employed by Appalachian Log Homes of Princeton for the last two years of his life.
Danny was born April 20, 1958 in Bluefield.
He is survived by his mother: Mary Ellen Adams of Brush Creek Falls Road, Speedway. Two children, son Eric Stilwell of High Point, North Carolina, and a daughter Carrie Stilwell of Thomasville, North Carolina. Four grandchildren all of High Point, North Carolina. Three sisters Wanda Sue Shepherd and husband Jerry of High Point, North Carolina; Brenda Carol Comer and husband Ronald of Oakvale; Debra Ann Cox and husband Fred of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three brothers: Delmar W. Stilwell Jr. and wife Prema of Bluewell; Wayne Johnston of Beckley; and Frank Adams of Lashmeet. A very special friend and yard mowing buddy Debra Weiss of Speedway.
A time of sharing and gathering will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. at Peaceful Valley Church on Cornbread Ridge Road near Princeton Wednesday evening, July 10, 2013.
The family has honored Mr. Stilwell's request his body has been cremated.
The Stilwell family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
