COOL RIDGE — Our Loving Angel Marshall Victor  Fletcher, age 39 of Cool  Ridge, W.Va. was called to Heaven by God on Saturday, July 6, 2013 as a result of  an accident in his truck.

Born on May 10, 1974 in Beckley, he was the son of Victor and Lorraine Walker Fletcher of Daniels, W.Va.

Marshall was employed by the Affinity Mines of Pocahontas Coal Company as a coal miner, operating a continuous miner for 16 years. At his workplace he was known as the “Mohawk Miner.” He was of the primitive Baptist faith, and enjoyed spending time with his children,  was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved boating, and riding his “Harley.”

Marshall was a dedicated father, and a loyal friend to many people.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Verlie Walker; paternal grandfather, Denzil Bailey.

Those survivors left behind include his wife, Lisa Hubbard Fletcher, two children, David age 12, and Kelly age 6. A sister, Melissa  May and her husband Brian of Speedway, W.Va.; his paternal grandmother, Mavis Bailey of Pinoak, W.Va. Three nieces, Brittini Orcutt and her husband Matt of Shady Spring, Alexis May, and Madison May both of Speedway. A great-nephew, Brycen Orcutt of Shady Spring. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins are also surviving.

Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate The Life Of Marshall Fletcher on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Elder Keith Mills and Elder Sam Walker officiating. He will be Laid To Rest beside his loving grandfather, Denzil Bailey at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, W.Va. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be David Fletcher, Leroy Walker, Norman Fletcher, Brian May, Lee McAlister, Brian Keaton, Glen Paul, Keith Bowling, Ryan Meadows, and John Kidwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald, Keith, Chuck, Jason, Mark, Michael, and Leon Walker, Dewayne and David Thompson, Ashley Foley, and Nicklaus Fletcher.
