ROCK — Priscilla Lane Pennington, 68, of Mt. Olive Road in Rock, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital following a courageous battle with illness. Born July 20, 1945 in Piedmont, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Buster Luther Dishner and Nellie Maiden Hoover Dishner.

She was a graduate of Matoaka High School and formerly employed at Glenwood Park Retirement Village and the Holiday Inn. Priscilla was a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church and enjoyed going to church with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Martin Dishner and Barry Duane Dishner; one sister, Starlene Jane Dishner; one niece, Tina Bicknell; two nephews, Carlton Bicknell and Jacob Dishner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie Pennington Sr. and Sylvia Davis Pennington; and one son-in-law, Pete Poindexter.

Survivors include her husband, Charles H. Pennington Jr. of Rock; three sons, Brian Keith Pennington and wife Sabrina of Bluewell, Shannon Todd Pennington and Greg Allen Pennington both of Rock; one daughter, Charlotte Lynn Poindexter Reynolds and husband Jeffrey of Rock; nine grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Poindexter and fiancée Robin Hamilton, Jared Pete Poindexter, Jacob Charles Poindexter, Jenefer Walters and husband Larame, Ariel Hodges, Steven Owens and fiancée Jessica Davis, Marcus Owens, Caleb Pennington, and Candice Davis; five great-grandchildren, Brytan Owens, Kristy Smith, Kaylie Taylor, Bentley Walters, and Aubree Poindexter; three brothers, Raymond Dean “R.D.” Dishner and wife Aretta of Rock, Fredrick Edison Dishner and wife Kathy of Arnold, Mo., and Lee Carson Dishner and wife Lisa of Lashmeet; three sisters, Arlene Coffey of Lake Bottom, Wanda Shulte of St. Louis, Mo., and Patsy Jeanette Bicknell and husband Ted of Lashmeet; and special friends, Wilma and Junior O'Dell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. David Damewood officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2013 (today.)
