BOISSEVAIN, Va. —
Wallace Eric Shupe, 59, of P.O. Box 51, Boissevain, Va., passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va. Born in Bluefield, W.Va., he was the son of late Wallace Matthew Shupe and Charlotte Ross Shupe.
He was a member of the Abb's Valley Baptist Church in Abb's Valley, Va. and worked as an electrician in mining.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Shupe of the home; children, Eva Hall and husband Jimmie of Boissevain, Va. and Eric Shupe and wife Amy of Bristol, Va.; brothers, Ernest Shupe and wife Cathy of Abb's Valley, Va. and Michael Shupe and wife Vicky of Pocahontas, Va.; sister, Darlene Stuart of Brushfork, W.Va.; granddaughters, Olivia McPherson of Boissevain, Va. and Kaitlyn Shupe of Bristol, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va. with the Rev. Paul Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bluefield, Va. Friends may call Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
