BLUEFIELD — BLUEFIELD — Our loving mother, Shirley Carter, 81, of Bluefield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2013 after a long illness.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Edith Albert; her late husband, Phillip Richard Honeyak; her youngest daughter, Toni Lynn Bailey; and her oldest sister, Wanda Peters.

She is survived by her husband, Harry (Pat) Carter; and her children, Joe Honeyak, Joani (Glenn) Tabor and Rhoda (Dic) Burbage; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Gills; along with many other family members who loved her dearly.

Funeral services, arranged by Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, will be held at Memorial Church of Christ in Princeton, W.Va. on Wednesday, December 4th with visitation at 6:00 p.m. and her Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m. with Ministers Frankie Watkins, Dic Burbage and Glenn Tabor, Jr. officiating.

Graveside rites will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5th at the Poe Family Cemetery, Bluewell, W.Va. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
