Born November 5, 1966 in Welch, W.Va., she was the daughter of Smith W. Trivett and wife Nora of Pipestem and the late Carolyn Thorn Trivett. Sherry was an adult health care worker and a member of the Jesus Name Church in Gardner.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Thompson.
Addition survivors include her husband, Randy Matthews of Princeton; one son, R.J. Matthews of Montcalm; one daughter, Amanda Matthews of Montcalm; one grandchild; four sisters, Veronica Addison and husband Norman of Camp Creek, Patricia Prichard and husband Ricky and Michelle Phillips and companion Bill Hamm all of Princeton, and Sandra Trivett of Pipestem; two brothers, Matthew Trivett and wife Rhonda of Princeton and Joshua Trivett of Talcott, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Dough Steele officiating. Burial will follow at the Gaines & Lilly Cemetery in Hinton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
