PRINCETON — Charlotte Maxine Bish Hurt, 89, of 313 Douglas Avenue in Princeton, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born December 3, 1923 in Princeton she was the daughter of the late Samuel A. Bish and Elizabeth Stone Bish.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Lilly Grove Baptist Church in Princeton. Charlotte was beloved by her family and friends, everyone was always welcome in her home, and she enjoyed feeding her guests. Charlotte loved her family especially her husband James, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the Lord… “I have loved thee with an everlasting love”...Jeremiah 31:3. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowery James Hurt; one great-grandson, Jeffrey Miles Thornton; two brothers, Carl Bish and Basil Bish; and three sisters, Audrey Sadler, Dana Sadler, and Margaret Bish.

Survivors include one daughter, Drema Curren Hurt Richardson and husband Ronnie of Princeton; three sons, Larry Wayne Hurt and wife Pam of Princeton, Ronnie Lee Hurt and wife Sylvia of Camp Creek, and James Junior “Jimmy” Hurt and companion Kim Welch of Glen Lyn, Va.; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Bruce Woodson and Pastor Allen Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. today.
