BLUEFIELD, Va. —
Robin Ann Hale Welch, 54, of 409 Oak Grove Way, Bluefield, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at UVA in Charlottesville, VA. Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of Charles and Barbara Jean George Hale.
She was a member of the Falls Mills Christian Church. Although she had suffered physical adversity from an early age, she faced these challenges with strength and courage. She was a homemaker and truly enjoyed being at home with her family. She tended to the needs of the home and her family with pride. Her two daughters were her world. She was a member of the YMCA in Tazewell and enjoyed swimming and listening to music for relaxation.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Clara George, and her paternal grandparents, Clarence and Louisa Hale.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Mark Anthony Welch; her two daughters, Ashley and Jennifer Welch of the home; her siblings, Jeanie Ray and husband Buc, Linda Maynard and husband Jerry, Danny Hale and wife Carolyn, Eddie Hale and wife Regina and Shannon Hale; a special aunt, Barbara McCarty; and her only living uncle, Miginnis Hale.
A service to celebrate Robin’s life will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Falls Mills Christian Church with Pastor Terry Hodge. Burial will be in the Grandview Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Dales, Nathaniel Mitchem, Pete Mitchem, Butch Belcher, Buck Ray and Jerry Maynard.
The family will receive friends tonight from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
