Fred B. Treadway, 63, of Peterstown, WV passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Veterans Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born, January 1, 1950 in Stotesberry, WV he was the son of the late George and Pauline Mullins Treadway.
Fred was a Vietnam veteran, worked at General Dynamics in Charleston, SC, lastly working in the coal mines as an electrician and roof bolter. He was affiliated with the Victory Pentecostal Church in Lindside, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene, Ray and Wayne and a stepson, Danny Elliot.
Survivors include his loving, devoted wife and caregiver, Betty Miller Treadway; two daughters, Rachael Marie Treadway of the home and Kimberly Woods and husband Kenny of Hershey, PA; two grandsons, Joseph of Louisiana and Josh of Hershey, PA; one sister, Barbara Bright and husband Randy of Davenport, FL; two brothers, Tommy and Bryan both of Florida; two stepdaughters, Patricia Clarr and Teresa Tores, both of Charles Town, WV; and his special little buddy, Shadow.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J.C. Finley officiating. Burial will follow in the Karnes Cemetery, Peterstown, WV with Military Rites by American Legion #311, VFW #6000, American Legion #68 and Rowe Jones #145. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until time of the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
