SCOTT DEPOT —
Frederick M. “Freddy” White, 84, of Regency Place in Scott Depot, WV, a former resident of 500 Southview Court in Princeton died Sunday, October 6, 2013, at his residence. Born May 25, 1929 in Oakvale, he was the son of the late Fred B. White and Constance McKenzie White Wolfe.
Freddy was a graduate of Oakvale High School and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a retired electrician for Norfolk Southern Railroad. Freddy was a member of the Princeton Elks Lodge #1459, Princeton Moose Lodge #1521, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Bluefield Dance Club. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Dove White; one sister, Shirley Pennington; and one brother, Everett White.
Survivors include one son, Kevin M. White and wife Patricia of Nitro, WV; and two grandchildren, Kayla White and Alex White.
Cryptside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Chapel of the Wildwood in Princeton with the Rev. Tony Reed officiating. West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the mausoleum chapel by the service hour on Wednesday.
