LEESBURG, Fla. —
Juanita Perry McCoy Smith, 84, of Leesburg, Fla., a former resident of Bluefield, Va. and Bluefield, W.Va., died Monday, March 4, 2013, in Leesburg Fla. Born in Goody, Ky., January 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ike and Rusha Perry.
Juanita spent her childhood in Williamson, W.Va. After moving to Bluefield she became a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bluefield. She loved her family and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She had been a resident of Leesburg, Fla. for the past four years moving there from Bluefield, Va.
Her first husband, C.C. “Pounds” McCoy and two sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include her second husband, Thomas J. Smith of Leesburg, Fla.; one son, Charles C. “Charlie” McCoy Jr. and his wife Pam of Princeton; one daughter, Kirby Susan McCoy of Seattle, Wash.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes Juanita was cremated. A Memorial service, followed by entombment with her first husband, will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with Dr. W.D. Hasty and Father Paul Wharton officiating.
