Jeffery Morgan, age 50, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Va. Born December 19, 1961 at Welch, W.Va., he was the son of the late Floyd Wallace Morgan Jr., and Rosetta Bays Morgan Dotson.
Jeff was employed by the Lhoist North America Co., as a mine foreman. He was a very talented musician and singer and the guitar was his choice of instruments. He was a kind and gentle hearted individual and enjoyed the company of most everyone he met.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Ray and Paul David Morgan; stepfather, Gibbon Dotson; father-in-law, Ralph Richardson Raines.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Raines Morgan; two daughters, Crystal Autumn Morgan Smith and husband Warren “Dale” of Princeton, W.Va., and Santaya Danielle Morgan and fiancé of Princeton, W.Va.; four brothers, Brian Morgan and wife Lisa of Locust Grove, Va., Russell Dotson of Peterstown, W.Va., Ricky Dotson and wife Patricia of Bluefield, W.Va., Duane Dotson and wife Kathy of Princeton, W.Va.; two sisters, Brenda Adkins, and Deanna Smith and husband Bill all of Peterstown, W.Va.; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Irene Raines of Princeton, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Madison, Camren, Kaydince, Hunter and Sarah; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the funeral home.
