Leonard Edward Taylor Sr., 78, of Hearn Avenue, Princeton, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born March 12, 1934, in Bluefield, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Frank Brookman Taylor Sr. and Frances Jones Taylor.
He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith serving as minister at Full Gospel Church. He also was a disabled welder.
He was preceded in death by a son, Freddie Taylor; daughter, Christina Thornton; and his siblings, Marie, Doug, Sarah, Geraldine (Gerry) Taylor and Bobby Catron.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Natalie B. Doss; children, Kathy Hall, Lenny Taylor, Eddie Taylor, Teresa Rose, Kayla Six and Candy Mathena; 29 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; siblings, Ervin Taylor, Russell Catron, Geraldine Taylor (Buttons), Pete Taylor, Joyce Fletcher, Frank Taylor, Juanita Taylor, Bobby Gene Taylor, Betty Christine Taylor, Sylvia Taylor and Margie Hall.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton with the Rev. Jimmy Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
Joe Stephenson, Nicky Gilley, Shaun Jackson, Shannon Jackson, Frank Brookman, Terry Gilley and Cody Jackson will serve as pallbearers.
