Richard “Dickie” Wayne Gross, 68, of Rainbow Road, Princeton, died December 8, 2012 at his residence. Born December 1, 1944 in Ceres, W.Va., he was the son of the late Vera Smith and Emmett Sidney Gross.
After a tour in Korea with the U.S. Army, Mr. Gross was a truck driver with Coppinger Machinery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Gross.
He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Patsy Blizzard Gross; daughters, Nikki Gross Prasatek, of Princeton and Stacey Martin and spouse, Dewayne, of Princeton; sister, Jenny Thwaites and spouse, George, of Narrows; sister-in-law, Phyllis Gross, Princeton; grandchildren, Amira Prasatek, Sabrina Mullins, Victoria Mullins, Jonathan Spicer, Shawn Prasatek, Damian Prasatek; nephews and nieces, Eric and Natalie Thwaites, Narrows, Va., George Allen and Anne Thwaites, Kingsport, Tenn., Barbara Meador and Michael, Raleigh, N.C.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Richard Wayne Gross will be held 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.
The family will honor his request and he will be cremated. A private inurnment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton at a later date.
