Freda June Love Wohlford, 84, of 1710 Honaker Avenue in Princeton, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at her residence. Born April 1, 1928 in Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Richard Guin Love and Ruth Caroline Cline Love.
She was a graduate of Bluefield High School and McClain's Business School in Bluefield. Freda was a former office manager at Metropolitan Life Insurance, secretary for Carter Machinery Company, and an accredited insurance adviser for Flat Top Insurance Company and Acordia Insurance. She was a devout member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bluefield and had been a member of the church choir since she was 10 years old.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-five years, George William “Bill” Wohlford of Princeton; one daughter, Dacy Rutter Boyd and husband Maurice Wright of Philadelphia, Pa.; one granddaughter, Ruth Boyd-Galezewski of Elkins Park, Pa.; one grandson, Griffin Wright of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and one sister, Anna Ruth Love Chapman of Georgetown, S.C.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 103 Duhring St., Bluefield with Pastor Terry Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday.
