BASTIAN, Va. —
Clarence Estille “C.E.” Thomas Jr., age 85, of Bastian, Va., passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Willliamsport, Md. He was born in Bland County, Va. on March 8, 1928 to the late Clarence E. Thomas Sr. and Bessie Bailey Thomas.
C.E. was a member of the Bastian Church of God, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force and a member of the V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by a sister, June Pennington; a brother, Denzile Thomas and is survived by a nephew, Tim and Tena Pennington of Walkersville, Md.; great-nieces, Heather and Hannah Pennington. Several cousins, a niece and other friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Bastian Church of God with the Rev. Dennis Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church.
The family requests that those who prefer may make memorials to the Bastian Church of God.
