KEEN MOUNTAIN, Va. —
Bobby Willis VanDyke, 62 years of age, of Keen Mountain, VA, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014. Born February 25, 1952 in Buchanan County, VA he was the son of the late William Jake VanDyke and Pinkie Arizona Keen VanDyke Wilson.
Bobby was an employee of Noah Horn Well Drilling, an avid outdoorsman, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Ray, Allen, Ulis VanDyke and Hubert VanDyke.
Survivors include is loving wife of thirty-six years Bonnie VanDyke of Keen Mountain, VA; son Jackie Ray Lester and wife Carla of Rowe, VA; daughters Angela Dawn Martin and husband James and Brandy Lynn Sullivan and husband Billy both of Pounding Mill, VA; sisters Judy Jenkins and husband Bruce of Paintlick, VA, Susie Ball and husband Dewayne of Greenesboro, NC, Shirley Horn of Vansant, VA; brothers Clayton VanDyke and wife Elizabeth of Paintlick, VA, Robert VanDyke and wife Navada of MI.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Samantha Keene and husband Ethain, Ashley Martin, Landon Sullivan, Adison Sullivan and Sadie Sullivan all of Pounding Mill, VA, Cydney Lester of Rowe, VA; Special great-grandson on the way, William "Jack" Keene; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Bobby Willis VanDyke will be conducted at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain, VA, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Raymond Buddy Herald officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.
Active pallbearers will be Landon Sullivan, Jim Brown, Dennis VanDyke, Doug Keen, Don Keen, Leon Boyd, Darrell Boyd, Tim Sisk, John Mullenaux, Mike VanDyke and Randy VanDyke.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Horn and the employees of Noah Horn Well Drilling.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 1, 2014 after 6;00 p.m.
