SALEM, Va. —
Retha C. Blaha, of Salem, formerly of Elbert, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Salem, Va. and former member of Our Lady of Victory, Gary, W.Va. She was a former employee of U.S. Steel and later retired from the Medical Clinic in Gary, W.Va. as a medical assistant. She was active in the Altar Society at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Joseph Blaha; and parents, Elmer and Ella Crouse.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Roger McKinney, Kathy and Brad Durbin, Becky and Tom Brennan; four grandchildren and spouses, Kim and Patrick Graul, Tina and Bobby Strickland, Michael and Jessica Brennan, James and Pam Brennan; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mabel Jones and husband, Jim.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Gary, W.Va. or to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2804 Electric Road, Roanoke, Va. 24018.
Funeral Mass will held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 9 a.m. with Father Michael Herbert officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, W.Va. at 1 p.m.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 11, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Funeral Home South Chapel in Roanoke, Va.
