NEWARK, Del. —
George Conley, age 82, passed away quietly at home surrounded by his family on August 30, 2013. Born in Yukon, West Virginia, he joined the Navy and traveled the world, finally making his home in Delaware. He retired from Johnson Controls, where he was a mechanic. George was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand. His strength and generosity was an inspiration to all who knew him.
George's wife of over 50 years, Margaret, was awaiting him when he passed. He will be dearly missed by his children, Marc Conley of Wilmington, DE, Edward Conley and wife Tina of Newark, DE; Aloah Peacock and partner Cheryl of Bear, DE, Connie Wilt and fiancé Todd of Harrington, DE, and Lori Conley of Newark, DE. He is also survived by his 11 beloved grandchildren and great-grandchild, and his six dear sisters.
Funeral Services will be held in Delaware.
