ENGLEWOOD, Ohio. — Jim was born December 27, 1941 in War, West Virginia, son of the late James and Alice (Wood) Richardson. He graduated college from Franklin University with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and earned an MBA from Indiana University. Jim proudly served his country in the US Army from 1959-1962. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. Jim retired, as a Civilian, from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base after 25 years of service. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.  

Mr. Richardson is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patricia Lea (Thompson); two sons, Michael Hogan (Christine) and James Joseph (Stephanie); three grandchildren, Payne Michael, Madison Marie and Emily Christine; brother, John of Georgia; sister, Louise and “brother”, Donald D. Leach of Vandalia, OH; sister, Alice of Englewood, OH; 3 beloved pets, Sammy, Angel and Smokey

 Joe; many other loving friends and family members.

A Funeral Service will be held 6 PM Friday, August 30, 2013 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, 5555 Philadelphia Dr., at N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45415. The family will greet friends 4-6 PM August 30, 2013 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart, Lung or Kidney Associations, in Jim's memory.
