Leola Mae Clemson, 83, of Princeton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her home. Born August 26, 1929 at Sophia, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Mahone and Della Ward Mahone.
Leola was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed making cakes, shopping, restaurants, flowers, reading Bible verses and helping her friends at the Princeton Towers. She enjoyed family vacations to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. She loved spending time with the two loves of her life and made many special memories with her great-granddaughters, Hannah Noelle and Madeline Cambrea.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry O. Clemson Sr. in 2010; one sister, Maxine Mahone; and one brother, Eugene Mahone.
Survivors include one son, Harry Clemson Jr. and his wife Connie of Princeton; one granddaughter, Heather Clemson Jones and her husband Gregory of Princeton; one grandson, Joseph Clemson of Princeton; three great-granddaughters, Hannah Chipman, Madeline Jones and Hailey Clemson; one great-grandson, Jackson Bailey; one step-great-grandson, Travis Jones; and two sisters, Gloria Wyrick of Poquoson, Va. and Louise Pate of Beckley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Terry Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 2, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
