WYTHEVILLE, Va. — My loving husband and our precious father and grandfather, Oral V. Jones passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 after a blessed life with his wife of 58 years, Rebecca Mustard Jones.

Oral was the fourth son of the late Bernie and Ochel Lycans Jones. He was a fifty year member of Wytheville Fraternal Lodge #82, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Kazim Temple, Roanoke, VA and a member of the Character Unit of New River Shrine Club. Oral was a well-known real estate broker and land developer. He was the designer, president and owner of Fort Chiswell RV Campground until his retirement in 2003.

Oral was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmie, Kyle, Paul, Jinks and Sidney.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Rebecca; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Ted Gardner; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Lisa Jones, all of Wytheville; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Paul Maynard of Jolo, WV; brothers and sister-in-law, Bobby and Jean Jones of Galax, VA and Eugene Jones of Princeton, WV; five grandchildren, Laura and her husband Duston Jackson, Thomas Gardner, John Gardner, Meredith Jones and fiancé Aaron Summers, Hunter Jones; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Sonny Ayers officiating. Masonic memorial service will be conducted by Wytheville Fraternal Lodge #82 A.F. & A.M. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time or at the residence at any time.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Kazim Temple, 628 W. Campbell Ave., Roanoke, VA 24016.
